IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. It is an international standard test to judge the proficiency in the English language for non-native English language speakers who want to study or work in a country where English is a language of communication.
For taking the IELTS Exam, your minimum age should be at least 16 years & you must have a valid passport. You will be eligible to take the exam if you fall into one of the categories: Planning to study in UK/Australia/Canada/New Zealand/USA.
The purpose of the IELTS exam is to test the candidates’ ability of handling English language who want to study or work in a country where English is the language of communication. IELTS result is also necessary for the immigration purposes.
IELTS syllabus comprises of four modules – Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. There are two versions of the IELTS test – IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. These two test versions differ on reading and writing modules as listening and speaking modules are same in both the test versions.
IELTS results are valid for two full years from the date you took the test. If we discuss about the academic IELTS examination the validity of these tests is for duration of 02 years from your test date and not from the date of your result.
IELTS General is the best IELTS exam to get Canadian PR as the IELTS academic score will not be applicable to apply for immigration.
